Regarding redemption exemption due to residence tax exemption

*This is a cautionary note : “residence tax exemption” means that both the renter and the head of the household are exempt from resident tax (the tax amount is 0 yen for both income-based and per capita-based payments).

If you proceed with the procedure with only the resident tax exemption certificate for 2023, the unredeemed amount after January 2024 will be subject to exemption examination, but the unredeemed amount before December 2023 will not be subject to examination.

1. For those whose repayments will start from January 2024

※ We will be sending out notices regarding the start of redemption (repayment) in sequence from January 2024.

※ If the resident tax for 2023 is exempted (both income tax and per capita tax are exempt), Redemption will be exempted.

From late May 2023, we have sent out the “Information regarding Redemption Exemption, Redemption Deferment, and Redemption” to those who have borrowed the funds listed below and are planning to undergo redemption exemption procedures. “Emergency Small Fund (loan application after April 1, 2022)” “General Support Fund (first time) (loan application after April 1, 2022)” “General Support Fund (extension loan)”

First, please read the “③ Important Notice” booklet, and if you are eligible for redemption exemption, please fill out “② Redemption Exemption Application Form” and return it along with the required documents in the return envelope enclosed in the “Information” sent to you this time.

Application deadline: Friday, March 29, 2024

Please note that the amount redeemed before the approval of redemption exemption will not be refunded even if redemption exemption is approved.

3. Regarding redemption exemption due to requirements other than residence tax exemption.

If the person starts receiving welfare after the loan is decided, or has a disability certificate (mental disability certificate 1st grade, physical disability certificate 1st or 2nd grade, or rehabilitation certificate A grade), or the borrower dies.

If you meet the requirements set by the government, all or part of your loan may be exempted from repayment.

The application period for exemption from redemption is after the start of redemption.

Regarding redemption (redemption) grace procedure

Even if you have started redemption (repayment), if you are having difficulty repaying due to illness, unemployment, source of income, or other circumstances, you can apply for the “repayment grace” period of up to 12 months. ※“repayment grace” means postponing the date on which redemption begins, or extending the redemption deadline if redemption has already begun.

Please check page 13 of “③Important Notice” in the “Information” that we sent this time, and prepare the “⑤Grace Application Form” and the necessary documents, and send them in the return envelope to the Aichi Prefecture Social Welfare Council's “Special Loan Redemption Office”.

Requests when repaying special loans

We have been sending out payment slips for redemptions (repayments) from January 2024 to June 2024 in sequence from late December 2023.
◎ Payment slips may also be sent to those who have already completed their repayments, but this depend on the timing of the payment confirmation, so there is no need to repay them..
◎ If you have submitted application documents for redemption exemption or grace period, please wait to repay until you receive the examination results.
◎ In the case of direct debit, we will send you a payment slip until we receive approval from your financial institution and complete your registration with the Association.

If your address or name has changed, please send “④ Notification of Change” to the “Special Loan Redemption Office” of the Aichi Prefecture Social Welfare Council.

Council may send communications and notices related to redemption work to your smartphone, etc. using SMS (short message).
This is not a spam or fraudulent email. The phone number for sending SMS (short messages) is based on the information you provided when you applied for a special loan.
Please be sure to check it as it will be an important contact and announcement related to special loan redemption exemption and redemption postponement procedures.

○Please note that short mails are messages sent exclusively from the Association and cannot be replied to.
〇The email may be marked as "spam" and stored in your junk mail box (“Junk” on Apple, “Spam” on G-mail), but it is not spam.
